Do not you think it is important to know about own motherland. The land that has sheltered you from the day of your first cry. That has been protecting your parents and their parents and grandparents. The soil that feeds you daily. And entertain you with its nature breathtaking views. You are independent and can introduce yourself with the reference of this county as it has given you the identity. Have you ever think about its origin?
Pakistan resulted from the hard time struggle. Many have lost their lives in the struggle, some departed from their families and others dispersed alienly in the strange land with a ray of hope for the future. Most of them have seen the stream of blood and many have flooded their blood to speed up the flow. History witnessed those who have traveled miles in hunger and with bare feet. It also witnesses of their sleepless nights and thirst for long days. But their struggle remained constant and pay them in form of this country Pakistan.
Anyhow the present time has blurred all such stories and they seem boring and not fascinating. Modernity has left us with a critical eye that just focuses on the lacking and negativity. That makes us to blame Pakistan not our individual beings. We violate rules, lack discipline, are insincere with our working bodies, are not punctual, suppress our conscience but we used to simplify all our incompetence in one phrase “Pakistan hay Sab Chalta Hay Yahan”. Whereas our school books are more inefficient to narrate us the truth and always indulge us in hatred and misunderstanding. That is also the reason for our lack of interest in knowing our history.
Moreover, Politicians are in the run to get credit for their long written spokes outs which are even not clear to them. They never bother to look back to the history that is full of struggle and a mixture of success and failure sketches. There are bits of bits to learn but ignorance is at its peak and that wraps all the history pages. Interestingly all the stakeholders talk about patriotism and blame each other equally without practicing the actual meaning of patriotism by themselves. How to inspire others without being the model?
Here I would like to deter my dispersing thought with the suggestion to think once about the birth of this country. Just try to dig out about the real history and effort a little to search out the inside treasure of knowledge. Try to know more about your motherland. It is your please own it.
