Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee visited Russia to witness Exercise Peace Mission-2021 in the ambit of (SCO).

(ISPR). General Nadeem Raza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee visited Russia to witness Exercise Peace Mission-2021 in the ambit of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).

Chairman JCSC also attended a meeting of the Chiefs of General Staff of the Armed Forces of SCO member states where the forum discussed the international and regional geopolitical environment with emphasis on the Afghanistan situation. Activities of transnational terrorist organizations in various regions of the world were also discussed. Chairman JCSC while addressing the forum stated that Pakistan will continue to work with SCO to advance the shared objectives of peace, progress, and stability in the region, and beyond.
Chairman JCSC also highlighted the unparalleled contributions of the Pakistan Armed Forces towards global peace and immense sacrifices in war against terrorism. General Nadeem Raza said that peace in Afghanistan is a collective responsibility and the complete region will be its biggest beneficiary.
On the sidelines, Chairman JCSC also had bilateral engagements with General Valery V. Gerasimov, Chief of General Staff, Russian Federation, and General Li Zuocheng, Chief of Joint Staff, PLA China.  
Chairman JCSC said that Pakistan attaches great importance to furthering bilateral defense cooperation with Russia and China and believes that these countries would develop meaningful and long-term strategic relationships through enhanced cooperation.

Nation observes 10th Anniversary of APS Peshawar tragedy

The 10th anniversary of the tragic terror incident at Army Public School Peshawar is being observed today to pay tribute to the martyrs.

Special prayers and Quran Khwani are being held for the martyred students and teachers of Army Public School.

Meanwhile, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa education department has arranged special functions to commemorate the APS incident and martyred students.

On 16th of December 2014, six terrorists stormed the Army Public School Peshawar and martyred one hundred and forty-seven innocent students and teachers of the school.

Chomos festival continues in Kalash Valley

The historic fifteen-day Chomos festival continues in Kalash Valley, including Chitral district, on seventh consecutive day, today.

Under the guidance of Tashfeen Haider, Director General of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority, tourist information centers in Chitral City and Upper Dir have been activated to assist both foreign and local visitors.

The Kalash people are observing various rituals during the Chomos festival as part of their New Year celebrations.

Traditional songs, dances, and rituals are key features of the festival, which is set to culminate on the 22nd of this month.
