Individuality is the right of every human being. Because every being has distinct characteristics and attribution. Every single person has a role in society that he/she has to play. It depends on the person to define the role. And he/she has to decide what kind of role he/she can play. But the actual problem is that individualism is discouraged in our society and we prefer conformity. And this monopoly comes from family, society, and culture. Each individual has to consider all the norms set by these institutes. More like there might not be any logic behind every norm yet you have to follow them.
In this write-up, my target audiences are students who are today’s readers but tomorrow’s leaders. Dear, students never lose your originality in conformity. Let me tell you that you are a unique being and there is no second like you. I know your parents have decided on a future for you and society has added some more pressure on you. But believe me, they do not know who you are. No doubt they wish you a better future and effort to provide you much. Yet they failed to understand what is best for you. Anyhow, remember it is not their responsibility but it is yours’. You have to decide what you want to be. This “want to be” never ends at the profession of a doctor, engineer, bureaucracy, and some other idealized profession. There are much more beyond these which you have to explore.
Suggestions
For that first, you need to identify yourself. As our Prophet (P.B.U.H) also says “He who knows himself knows his Lord.” And the Lord who has created you has blessed you with uniqueness. There is something special inside you because He has created you. Therefore bring that something up and find yourself and then your lord. You might ask me how to find out that “something”. Yes, you are right you must ask this question.
I would suggest you go on trails and explore yourself. Your exposure to different things can help you out to find yourself. Participate in every event so that you will come to know that what you are good at. What actually you are made for. And that would be the perfect identification. You can be good at anything and there is nothing out of your reach. Hence never restrict yourself and start the trails of self-exploration.
Moreover, remember individual you can contribute better than in conformity. Never be conformist in your educational career do whatever you want to do and made a destination for yourself. In conformity, you can lose your uniqueness. So play carefully.
