UK Govt appointed Pakistani economist as their chief economist.

Pakistani talent has no limit. The people of this land need opportunities and platforms to prove themselves even in the most developed and advanced countries like the UK. Dr. Adnan Qadir Khan is one of the representatives of Pakistanis capabilities as he has been appointed as the Chief Economist of their Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

He has been serving in the London School of Economics (LSE) School of Public Policy as a professor and now has been selected as the FCDO’s head economist beginning January 2022. The LSC congratulated him for his selection but expressed their loss as well. Because the human resource is the biggest of all assets.

Dr. Adnan Qadir Khan is known to be the native of Dera Ghazi Khan who has studied engineering, philosophy, and international affairs at UET and Punjab University. Indeed it is a proud moment for Dr. Adnan Qadir khan and his family and also for the nation. Anyhow it should be a matter of concern that why our people who are full of talent and capabilities do not get such place in our own country. Why the assets of Pakistan are serving internationally rather than nationally?

Nation observes 10th Anniversary of APS Peshawar tragedy

The 10th anniversary of the tragic terror incident at Army Public School Peshawar is being observed today to pay tribute to the martyrs.

Special prayers and Quran Khwani are being held for the martyred students and teachers of Army Public School.

Meanwhile, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa education department has arranged special functions to commemorate the APS incident and martyred students.

On 16th of December 2014, six terrorists stormed the Army Public School Peshawar and martyred one hundred and forty-seven innocent students and teachers of the school.

Chomos festival continues in Kalash Valley

The historic fifteen-day Chomos festival continues in Kalash Valley, including Chitral district, on seventh consecutive day, today.

Under the guidance of Tashfeen Haider, Director General of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority, tourist information centers in Chitral City and Upper Dir have been activated to assist both foreign and local visitors.

The Kalash people are observing various rituals during the Chomos festival as part of their New Year celebrations.

Traditional songs, dances, and rituals are key features of the festival, which is set to culminate on the 22nd of this month.
