Rashid Minhas the name of bravery was born on 17th February 1951who joined Pakistan Air Force (PAF) with a dream to defend his homeland. He got commission on 14th March 1971 in the 51st GD (P) course and then he was posted to No 2 Squadron stationed at Maripur (Masroor) for an Operational Conversion Course where he was destined. But the unfortunate incident took away the valiant son of Pakistan on the 20th of August 1971.

He turned down the aims of Mati-ur-Rahman who tried to hijack his training jet T-33 towards India. He battled to take it back and finally crashed the plane and sacrificed himself for this country. He valued the dignity of the country more than his being and that made him distinct. He was awarded the highest gallantry award Nishan-e-Haider for his incredible courage and sacrifice.

And today is the 50th death anniversary of the icon of bravery and devotion. Therefore all the mighty institutions have paid tribute to him on his day of lifetime success.  Defiantly, he will be remembered and would remain the exemplary legend of supreme sacrifices and love for this land.

We pay our heartiest tribute to the national hero whose contribution can never be forgotten for this land. And we promise you to stand out as one nation (AikQaum).
