The naturalistic Kaghan Valley is located in the Mansehra district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is no less than a piece of paradise on earth. This is a high-level tourist spot because of its pine forest, alpine meadows, glaciers, crystal-like lakes, the shouting waterfalls, the full green mountains, and the Kuhnar River. Nature is to its fullest in Kaghan valley and nature describes itself to every visitor.

The Kuhnar River does not just add to the beauty of Kaghan valley but it has attracted CPEC to generate power from it. To execute the project of hydropower the flow of the Kuhnar River has been diverted to the mountainside to build the reservoir. This project is named Suki Kinari Hydropower which has been projected in 2016 and is expected to be completed by 2022.  It has the power to produce 870 MW which is a good power production to help out in our energy crisis.

The plus point of this project is the construction of the largest dam which would have the capacity of 9 million cubic meters of water. And most importantly it would not cause much destruction to the valley. Along with the power generation, it would be the best storage of water which is the actual runner of life.

Pakistan has been blessed with many such power production resources which are yet to be explored. It needs to explore such spots and should have to work on them so that we can expose the real beauty of Pakistan.
