A Tribute to Maj. Adnan Aslam – A Soldier’s Eternal Legacy

Published

on

Funeral prayers of Major Adnan Aslam Shaheed (age: 31 years, resident of Rawalpindi) who embraced martyrdom while undergoing treatment at Combined Military Hospital were held at Chaklala, Rawalpindi.

The officer gallantly fought the Indian proxy Fitna al Khawarij during their cowardly attack in Bannu on 2 September 2025, said an ISPR news release.

In the annals of Pakistan’s history, there are names that shine not only as warriors of the battlefield but as eternal guardians of the nation’s soul. Maj. Adnan Aslam is one such son of the soil who, by embracing martyrdom, has written his chapter in the book of immortality.

Martyrdom is not the end of life — it is the beginning of an everlasting legacy. For a soldier, there can be no greater honour than to lay down his life for his motherland. Maj. Adnan Aslam understood this truth, and when the call of duty came, he responded with courage, conviction, and complete devotion.

He lived by the motto engraved in the heart of every soldier of Pakistan: Iman, Taqwa, Jihad fi Sabeelillah (Faith, Piety, Struggle in the way of Allah). His life was defined by loyalty to his country, love for his people, and service to his flag. His martyrdom is a reminder that freedom is not free — it is guarded every day by the blood of those who stand on the frontlines so that millions can sleep in peace.

Maj. Adnan Aslam’s sacrifice is not just a personal story of bravery; it is a message to every Pakistani. He reminds us that patriotism is more than words, it is sacrifice. It is choosing the greater good over personal comfort, duty over desire, and faith over fear. His blood has become part of the soil of this sacred land, and his spirit now breathes in the mountains, rivers, and skies of Pakistan.

Our martyrs never die. They live on in the prayers of mothers, in the dreams of children, and in the determination of a nation that refuses to bow before adversity. They are the unbroken chain that connects us to the vision of Quaid-e-Azam and the courage of our forefathers.

Today, as we honour Maj. Adnan Aslam, we must also renew our pledge: to carry forward the mission for which he laid down his life. To make Pakistan stronger, more united, and worthy of the sacrifices of its heroes.

Maj. Adnan Aslam’s uniform may now be draped in the green and white of our flag, but his spirit will continue to march in every soldier, in every citizen who dares to dream of a brighter tomorrow. He has become a part of Pakistan’s eternal flame — a flame that no storm can extinguish.

Indeed, the soil of Pakistan is rich because it is watered with the blood of its martyrs.

Pakistan Zindabad.
