The nation today commemorates the 149th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the Father of the Nation, with a renewed commitment to uphold his enduring principles of Unity, Faith, and Discipline, which continue to guide Pakistan’s national journey.
The day is being observed as a public holiday across the country. It began with 31-gun salutes in the federal capital and 21-gun salutes in provincial capitals, symbolizing national respect and remembrance. Special prayers were offered in mosques after Fajr prayer for the eternal peace of the Quaid-e-Azam and for the progress, stability, and prosperity of Pakistan.
The national flag has been hoisted on all public and private buildings nationwide. Qur’an Khawani and a change of guards ceremony are being held at Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi, where dignitaries and citizens pay homage to the great leader who transformed the destiny of millions.
Born on December 25, 1876, in Karachi, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah led the historic struggle for the political, constitutional, and social rights of the Muslims of the Subcontinent.
