First female-dominated police station opens in Azad Kashmir’s Rawalakot
Same-gender can better understand each other because their some characteristics are alike. So their problems are most common and discussable with one another. In a patriarchal society, it is really necessary to have separate women set up to ensure self-determination and justice to them.
It is a really good initiative to open the first female-run police station in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). This would defiantly encourage females to seek justice and legal assistance.
Dr. Sohail Habib Tajik, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), told Dawn that the station was initially furnished with an 11-member staff, commanded by Sub-Inspector Zahida Hanif as a station house officer (SHO).
In answer to a question, Mr. Tajik stated that staff at the station will look into complaints regarding harassment of women at work or in educational institutions, internet stalking, child abuse, personal difficulties such as violence, civil issues such as property disputes, and instances involving females.
