Oh Man your Elegance is matchless yet

Oh man you led people and solidified an ideology, you talked and inspired masses, and you fashioned and impressed many. In short, you were a composition of perfection in your dealing. The description is about no one but Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. His beautiful soul transcended from this world but his contribution and belongings will always keep him alive and around. His sophistication can be analyzed from his remaining. As one of his outstanding vehicles has recently been displayed at an exhibition by the Heritage Club of Motoring Pakistan.

The event featured a wide assortment of classic cars, but the highlight was a 1924 coach-built Rolls Royce Roadster. This vehicle was conveyed to the Father of Pakistan by Lord Mountbatten to the Sindh Assembly for the handover and the swearing-in ceremonies of the Governor-General.

Whereas Nawab of Bahawalpur was the owner of the Roadster at the time and was used by Quaid-e-Azam for his commutes. It is currently owned by Karim Chapra who bought it from the Nawab’s descendants in 2004. This is not just a vehicle but an antique and asset for Pakistan. Thanks to its user who have kept it in a primitive form and has been driven only 9000 km.

Here we would like to thank Karim Chapra who has brought it and has preserved it. It is the symbol of our iconic leader. History has a direct link with emotion that is why history never dies.
