It gives a naturalistic look from every angle. However, one of the most fascinating and attractive spots for tourists is the valley of Urak.
Urak Valley
It is located about 28 km away from Quetta city. Where it is near to Hanna Lake that makes it more beautiful. This valley has a population of 10,000, and most of the people are from the Pashtun sub-tribe, Kakar. The beauty of the valley is from its encircling huge mountains, which makes its sight immensely enchanting and enthralling. In addition, there is a small waterfall at its entrance that dual the attraction.
Water is the only reason for livelihood and spring water is the sign of origination so it has gained prime value for man. Hence, Urak valley offers the view of spring water as well. And it has remained the height of attraction for the visitors. The lively land is no less in producing good quality apples, cherries, and many other fruits. Hanna Lake adds to the beauty of the valley. This lake was built by the British during their colonialism to store water. They have also built a bridge and named that as Red bridge to divert the direction of water into Hanna Lake.
Weather of the Valley
Weather is one of the major reasons that calls upon people to visit different places. A high percentage of people like rainy days and snowfall so they used to travel. Urak valley starts shedding in November and December and snowfall at the end of December. This season make this valley more valuable for tourist.
Food corner
Like all other tourist spots, this valley also offers traditional food which is in high demand and loved by the people. This is an incredible picnic point for kids, families, and individuals. Dampukht, Khaddi Kabab, Sajii, etc are delicious items for eating.
Sport Corner
Moreover, there is a sports academy near the valley named Hayat Durrani Water Sports Academy (HDWSA). It is a great place of recreation and amusement for the tourists and people of Balochistan. As it is the first and only canoeing, sailing, rowing, climbing, and swimming training center in Balochistan. It organizes various championships programs and provides sports opportunities to the young generation of the province.
Urak Valley is the epitome of natural beauty. Therefore, it needs promotion and development by the tourism industry of Pakistan. It can benefit the natives of the valley and its surroundings and also uplift the economy at the national level.
