Coca-Cola’s collaboration with the CDA to construct Pakistan’s first plastic road in Islamabad.
What an idea to clean up the country from non-decaying plastic garbage. Coca-Cola Pakistan and Capital Development Authority (CDA) has taken a very good initiative to construct plastic roads.
Coca-Cola Pakistan has collaborated with the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and TeamUp / National Incubation Center (NIC) to create a World without Waste. This massive undertaking entails establishing the concept of re-carpeting national highways with plastic garbage on a local level.
For the time being, the concept will be applied to a one-kilometer route in Islamabad’s capital. Coca-Cola and (CDA) on Tuesday signed an MOU at the Team Up / NIC offices in Islamabad.
On behalf of the civic agency, Rana Shakeel Asghar, Member Finance & Environment (CDA) , signed the MoU. “We believe in a clean and green Pakistan, but we also believe in working together to achieve large-scale results,” he said.
In a panel discussion that followed the signing, environmental specialists and government officials discussed and disputed the proposal.
However, this initiative can reduce pollution and will help to grow a prosperous green Pakistan. There is nothing to waste and every waste is recyclable. The machinery of the state should have to encourage such ideas. moreover, it would give benefit the lower class who used to collect plastics on daily basis. It can also create job opportunities.
