Gilgit-Shandur and Shandur-Chitral Road

As CPEC has already been named as the game-changer. And it has worked tremendously in the development of Gwadar port. Though that is not completed yet it has brought a fortune with it for the people of Gwadar city and the near localities. Because CPEC focuses on the infrastructure and infrastructure is known to be the base for development and prosperity.

The good thing about CPEC’s projects is that they are working in the underprivileged areas of Pakistan like Gwadar, GB, and Chitral. Gilgit-Shandur and Chitral Expressway projects of CPEC are going to be the fortune developer for GB and Chitral. Almighty has blessed this region with everything of nature but what they lack is road infrastructure. Both the region shares a lot of similarities yet cannot reach to one another easily. Their link with the rest of the country is horrifying because of the roads. The travelers are not just tired from their journey to down cities but many a time they have been losing their dear ones.

Shandur is the midpoint between the two regions which is famous for its being the highest polo ground in the world. Nature is in its fullest in both the region and they have natural resources as well which are yet to be explored and refined. The land is fertile and produces a variety of fruits but is wasted because of poor road infrastructure. The people are unable to bring their organic fruits to the real market and led them to decompose over there. Although both the regions have human resources who are hard workers yet lack training and the concept of entrepreneurship.

However, CPEC projects can well contribute to the development and prosperity of these two regions. It can not only prosper GB and Chitral but the whole country. Because both the regions are pinpoints for tourism and the road infrastructure can influx thousands of national and international tourists. Moreover, it will bring out the talent of the mountainous people who have experienced difficulties practically. It can end the miseries of the local people and can prosper them in many aspects. It can end the disparities and can bound us to be one nation (AikQaum) and only Pakistani, not Baltis nor Pathans, neither Punjabi, Balochis and Sindhis  The measurement of the Gilgit-Shandur road is about 212 km whereas Shandur-Chitral road cover the area of 170 km. And the good news is about the completion of the Gilgit-Shandur road by 2024.
