The winners of the Online and On-ground Speech Contest

To celebrate the diamond jubilee of independence AikQaum.com introduced the First Online Speech competition for the youths of Pakistan. It has got a huge mileage in terms of the successful event as it received a number of entries from all over the country. The participants were provided with specific time and zoom links through which they shared their speech with judges. And out of all those entries, only 10 participants were selected for the on-ground speech contest. The participants were divided into two categories. The age group from 8-14 falls in the first category and the second age group was from 15-30 and was grouped into another.

Winners from the first category are:

Zuha Ali Imran got the first position from Lahore. She is just 8 years old but rocked on the stage. http://aikqaum.com
Muhammad Maaz got the second position from the first category who belongs to Kallar Kahar. He is just 11 years old yet has a great vision. http://aikqaum.com
Mariyaan Ali Imran was positioned as 3rd who belongs to Lahore. She is 12 years old. Her performance was also outstanding. http://aikqaum.com

Winners of the senior category are:

Aiman Tahir got the first position. She is from Abbottabad and her speech was wonderful. http://aikqaum.com
Muhammad Faiz Ur Rasool is the second position holder(Superior University) and he is from Pakpttan. http://aikqaum.com
Third position holder of this category was Muhammad Abdullah Bin Waqas who belongs to Rawalpindi. http://aikqaum.com

Nation observes 10th Anniversary of APS Peshawar tragedy

The 10th anniversary of the tragic terror incident at Army Public School Peshawar is being observed today to pay tribute to the martyrs.

Special prayers and Quran Khwani are being held for the martyred students and teachers of Army Public School.

Meanwhile, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa education department has arranged special functions to commemorate the APS incident and martyred students.

On 16th of December 2014, six terrorists stormed the Army Public School Peshawar and martyred one hundred and forty-seven innocent students and teachers of the school.

Chomos festival continues in Kalash Valley

The historic fifteen-day Chomos festival continues in Kalash Valley, including Chitral district, on seventh consecutive day, today.

Under the guidance of Tashfeen Haider, Director General of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority, tourist information centers in Chitral City and Upper Dir have been activated to assist both foreign and local visitors.

The Kalash people are observing various rituals during the Chomos festival as part of their New Year celebrations.

Traditional songs, dances, and rituals are key features of the festival, which is set to culminate on the 22nd of this month.
