The spiritual and intellectual founder of Pakistan Muhammad Iqbal was born on the 9th of November 1877 in Sialkot. He is known to be a dreamer because he was the one who gave the idea to divide the subcontinent into two pieces of land. He was a poet and a philosopher. As a poet, he has rocked in his era and is known to be the most energizing poet. The philosophical poet is famous as the poet of the East around the globe. During his studies in England, he joined the London chapter of the All-India Muslim League. The enlightening Iqbal enlightened the hearts and thoughts of Muslims of India in the darkness of British rule and India’s torturing. He was the dreamer and woke up all to fulfill the dream.
His strongest weapon in all the process was his pen and power of words. The words of his poetry are enough for motivation towards a big goal. His poetical contribution will never let him die. The thinker of Pakistan expressed himself in the Allahabad Address 1930 in which he had broken out about the separation of Muslim majority areas. He served All-India Muslim League as a Joint Secretary and remained active throughout. The poet of East had contested the election as well in 1926 and won the election from Lahore district.
He was the influencing partner of Jinnah and convinced him to return to India from England to lead the party because he believed in Jinnah to be a true leader. In a letter, he wrote to Quaid “I know you are a busy man, but I do hope you won’t mind my writing to you often, as you are the only Muslim in India today to whom the community has right to look up for safe guidance through the storm which is coming to North-West India and, perhaps, to the whole of India”. This shows his concern and passion for the partition. His major contribution was his convincing and encouraging power to both the leaders and all Muslims of the subcontinent.
He had enriched the literature and his poetry is still love and read in Pakistan and the world. Youth has remained the center of his writing which plays the power of invocation for his readers. The legendary leader Muhammad Iqbal passed away before the completion of his dream on 21st April 1938. A line of his philosophy is “Nations are born in the hearts of poets, they prosper and die in the hands of politicians.”
We appeal to the politician to be careful about the dream of Muhammad Iqbal and remember his philosophy while dealing with this piece of land.
This is for the Eagles of Iqbal and the youths of Pakistan.
