It was the worth ideology that seeing is believing that dated back from ancient Greek. But the digital world has turned it down. In the time of Greek and afterward, till the digital advancement there was no dualism or manipulation and the concept of seeing is believing was the most authentic one. The people used to believe what they see and there was no chance of doubt or unauthenticity. Whereas, digital media has changed the concept of seeing is believing yet it is unable to change the nature of human beings.

Digital Advancement

Digital has reached the height of its advancement and development and has searched out and gathered much of the information. It has covered every field of life and there is nothing possible without it. Moreover, it takes us from the basics of information to the advanced level of philosophies. Further, it turns out the diagnostic layouts to atomic power plants. It digs content from the underground to the outer universe. Though it is the product of humans yet it has taken the worth of man. Artificial Intelligence has taken from us the level of our privacy. And the Algorithm is ready to take emotions and other characteristics from the human being.  But we stand still with the ideology of seeing is believing.

No doubt digital media has brought the bulk of knowledge, information, and ideas in one click. It has updated us each time. Whereas it has the cons of manipulation which we used to underestimate. And we confined ourselves to the ideology of seeing is believing. It is never the fault of the digital media rather it is of the manipulator and debited the users. What one media portray to us seems believable and the very next second some other medium of media presents the same thing differently. The person who is exposed to the same news differently is unable to reach out to reality. And sometimes that becomes the reason for frustration. Because our mind is fixed that seeing is believing but what we see in our today’s media is not worthy to be believed.

The purpose of media is to dispense news and information but how it is dispensing that is questionable. The same news you are seeing is different than the one which is in my reach. And you and I both acknowledge the ideology of seeing is believing.

Therefore, change the concept of seeing is believing. And try to look behind the scenes portrayed to you through the digital medium. Every news is not authentic nor each of them is unauthentic.
