After playing the lead actress opposite Shehreyar Munawar Siddiqui in ‘7 Din Mohabbat In’, Mahira Khan was once again paired up with the actor in upcoming film ‘Parey Hat Luv’. However, Maya Ali has now replaced Mahira in the movie.

The forthcoming movie’s director Asim Raza confirmed that a conflict of dates is behind Mahira’s departure from the rom-com. Revealing details of his upcoming film, Asim told a local media, “Maya and Sheheryar are romantically involved in ‘Paray Hut Love’, which will potentially release on Eidul Azha next year.”

Although Maya and Shehreyar will play the lead, Mahira will still make a cameo appearance in the movie. ‘Paray Hut Love’ will go on floors in September 2018 with the first spell to be shot in Azaad Jammu Kashmir.

Currently, Maya is waiting for the release of her upcoming movie ‘Teefa in Trouble’ with Ali Zafar. The much-hyped movie is releasing in July.

Death anniversary of singer Masood Rana observed

The 29th death anniversary of famous playback singer Masood Rana was observed on Friday.

He was born in Mirpur Khas, Sindh.

Masood Rana started his singing career from Radio Pakistan Hyderabad in 1955.

He began singing for films in 1962.

Masood Rana remained one of the top male singers in Urdu and Punjabi films for more than three decades.

He died in Lahore on this day in 1995.

The 53rd death anniversary of renowned Pakistani singer Naseem Begum is being observed today.

Born in 1936 in Amritsar, Naseem Begum sang hundreds of Punjabi and Urdu songs for films. Her melodious voice won her a huge fan following in the country.

During the 1965 war against India, Naseem Begum, was one of those singers who lent their voices to patriotic songs. her song ”Aye Raah-e-Haq k shaheedo” boosted the morale of the armed forces and the nation.

She passed away on this date in 1971.

Death anniversary of Ashfaq Ahmad being observed today

Twentieth death anniversary of eminent writer, playwright and broadcaster Ashfaq Ahmad is being observed today.

Ashfaq Ahmad wrote dozens of TV dramas and hosted famous programmes of Radio Pakistan “Talqeen Shah” which was broadcast by Radio Pakistan for about 35 years.

His famous PTV plays were “Munchaley ka Soda” “Aik Muhobaat Sao Afsaney” “Tota Kahani” “Hairat Kada” and “Afsaney”.

On television, Ahmad penned the script of several plays that went on to become popular with audiences including, Uchhay Burj Lahore De, Tali Thallay, and Tota Kahani. He also made a feature film called Dhop aur Saya in the 60’s.

Ahmed married Banu Qudsia, who was also a well-known author and literary personality.

He received both the Presidential Pride of Performance award and Sitar-e-Imtiaz.

Ashfaq Ahmad died on this day in 2004 in Lahore.
