China; Please be Good to Afghanistan and the World

The immature decision of the US to withdraw its forces without stabilizing the situation in Afghanistan has created a mass disturbance in the world. The Taliban are again going to be in power and in aim to threaten the peace of the world. They have claimed that they have covered about 85% of the area. It increases the fear of civil war which would be horrifying and destructive.

China the emerging superpower also fears the reactivation of the Taliban has already evacuated its 210 nationals from Afghanistan. However, the Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen said they see China as a “friend” to Afghanistan and are hoping to talk to Beijing about investing in reconstruction work “as soon as possible”. He also said that they would not allow Uyghur separatist fighters from Xinjiang to enter China. They said that they would handle al-Qaida and other terrorist groups. Further, he told about his visit to China and they have been good to them in all their delegation. So the Taliban wants China to invest in Afghanistan.

However, China also wants to invest in Afghanistan for the exploitation of reserves of copper, coal, iron, gas, cobalt, mercury, gold, lithium, and thorium. But China is concerned about security issues. Whereas, now the situation is different as the spokesman of the Taliban has assured China to not be frightened and called them a friend.

I think there cannot be any other good chance than this to handle the Taliban of Afghanistan by China. China needs to document the statement of the Taliban and need to invest in Afghanistan. This would not just benefit China and Afghanistan economically but would be a reason for peace for the whole world. The development of Afghanistan might persuade the Taliban to hold back and to let their country to be prospered and peaceful. If we want to live in our Global village then we all need to care about one another and we need to maintain a peaceful Global Village.
