Developments can enlarge the Prosperity of Baluchistan

Baluchistan is the largest province in terms of the area that is about 347,190 km2. Strategically Baluchistan shares its borders with Punjab and KPK in its northeast, connects with Sindh at the southeast, and touches with the Arabian Sea in the south and Iran in the west whereas Afghanistan lies in the northwest of the province. The resourcefully rich Baluchistan has the capacity to provide natural gas to the country. Quetta is the largest city and provincial capital of Baluchistan. Turbat is known to be the second-largest city in the province. The name Baluchistan means “the land of Baloch” and it has mainly two ethnic groups Baloch and Pashtuns.

Baluchistan has an area, natural resources, human resources, and tourist spots but it lacks developments. Though it is the largest but has a few educational institutes, the population is above than 12, 344,408 but deprived of health facilities, capabilities are there but unknown, potentials are high yet no employment and government is there but not concerned. It is in the top rank having the lowest literacy rate especially in the case of women, far behind in employment ratio and rural in terms of developments.

And Pakistan is entering into 74th of its independence anniversary yet Baluchistan is not up to the mark. All the chronic problems of the province can have one solution which is construction and developments. If the other provinces of Pakistan are at the pace of development then why not Baluchistan. No doubt CPEC is going to develop Gwadar but Baluchistan is comprised of many Gwadar which also need economic expedition. If a city in Punjab can be among the developed cities then why not the areas of Baluchistan. There is no second argument with this statement that developments lead to prosperity. This is no shortcut to prosperity other than developments and prosperity.

It is evident from history as well that urbanization has been changing the statuses of areas from rural to cities. And cities have been the hub of opportunities with the availability of all the facilities. Now the world has turned into a global village and the advancements are remarkable in it. Yet Baluchistan is deprived of many of the advancements. The people lack awareness about things and they have a world that can never compete with this world.

There should be a rapid action plan to uplift the status of Baluchistan so that the people would be exposed to the outer world in their land. Industrial installation can be a fortune for the province of Baluchistan. That would lead to more and more developments and prosperity and can bring awareness to the people so that they would be able to change their lifestyle. Urbanization of Baluchistan can bring good fortune to the whole nation because it has many resources which can be used for other developments and can also export coal and many other minerals. Developed Baluchistan would be a keen place for the tourist which would again generate the revenue of Pakistan and also create hundreds of opportunities for the local people.

There should be cities like Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad, and many others in Baluchistan province so that the land would be beneficial to its natives and to all.
